Minutes of The Annual Parish Meeting of BARKSTON AND SYSTON PARISH COUNCIL MONDAY 11th May 2026, at 7:45pm
Venue: Barkston & Syston Village Hall
Present: M Nussey (Chair), T Hine, S Elnor, R Parke, Cllr Paul Martin & 2 Members of the public.
- Welcome and Opening Address from Chair
The Chair addressed the meeting and highlighted the planning application on Honington road and the hard work both Cllrs and residents had put in to objecting to the application. The chair particularly thanked Vaughan Owen, & Cllr S Micklewright for their work on the parish council’s formal response and County Cllr P Martins support.
The Chair also thanked Cllrs Colin Pell and Alan Rowell who recently stepped down as councillors for their service over many years.

The chair again thanked Residents and Councillors for their support in responding to the Honington Road application and closed the meeting.
